APPLICATIONS PROCESSED IN ADELAIDE AND OTHER OFFICES IN AUSTRALIA: HEALTH & POLICE CHECKS AND COLLECTING YOUR VISA
Health Checks: The examinations must be conducted by Embassy Panel doctors only. Your Case Officer at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) in Australia will provide you with the necessary forms and instruction if/when necessary after the lodgement of your application. Please do not undergo any healch checks without a written referral from your Case Officer.
If your application was submitted online on the Internet, you may be able to download electronic versions of the health checks forms in accordance with the instructions you will receive during the interactions you have with our e-Visa systems.
Israeli Police certificates:
Please do not apply for your Israeli police certificate before you lodge your application or invited to provide one by your Case Officer in (DIAC). If your police certificate is received at our office and cannot be matched to an active application, the certificate may be destroyed as we are unable to hold it pending the lodgement of your application.
The Israeli police does not give applicants their police certificates. The police certificates are forwarded directly to the Australian Embassy in Tel Aviv. It normally takes at least 4-6 weeks for the certificates to arrive at the Australian Embassy in Tel Aviv. The certificates are then checked electronically against applications in the various Processing Centres in Australia, including Adelaide and Perth, and forwarded directly to the relevant Processing Centre via the diplomatic mail UPON REQUEST from your Case Officer in Australia. This process may take at least another 4-6 weeks. Theoretically, it may take at least two months for the police certificate to reach your Processing Office in Australia. To ensure that your police certificate reaches your Case Office in DIAC, Australia, please ask your Case Office to request the certificate from our office by initiating/sending our office what we call "stream 1C referral" using the internal DIAC ICSE System.
For privacy and other operational reasons, we are unable to advise clients directly whether we have received their police certificates and when they were forwarded to Australia. If there are any significant delays or difficulties you should contact your Processing Centre in Australia directly and they will contact our office, if necessary.
Collecting your visa at the end of the process: When you receive written advice from the relevant Processing Centre in Australia that your visa has been granted and that you should contact our office to collect the visa, you should:
