Entry to the US: Visa Waiver Program

From January 2009, all Australians passport holders wishing to travel to the US under the Visa Waiver Program, which permits travel for tourist or business purposes for up to 90 days, will be required to complete an online Electronic System Travel Authorization (ESTA) form at least 72 hours prior to travel. Unless revoked, authorizations will be valid for two years from the date of authorization, or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.

Forms are available here

All inquiries regarding the online ESTA form should be directed to the US Embassy. The Australian Embassy cannot answer questions regarding this procedure.
